Welcome to Yokota High School, Home of the Panthers!

This is an exciting place for students to go to school and become active in a variety of activities. Students can choose from a variety of courses. We offer Advanced Placement course in each of the major curricular areas.

Yokota High School has a concert band, choir and jazz band.The art program is very diverse with classes from ceramics to photography. Students can become involved in National Honor Society, student government, and JROTC. Our Future Business Leaders of America club has raised funds to travel to our Nation's capital.

The athletic program is open to all students. Yokota High School has a long tradition of success on the fields and courts. A new athletic complex is now home to football, soccer, track and field, and softball. The drama department has been consistently recognized for the outstanding productions and in competitions.

The school is located on the south end of the airbase. The six school buildings are attractively spaced on a 20-acre campus that is adorned with trees and shrubs. Technology abounds in our school. There are 5 separate computer labs and each classroom houses a number of computers for student use. We offer programs in Cisco Networking and Computer Service and Support. In the coming years we will be expanding courses of study in the professional-technical studies arena. For those of you interested in foreign language, we have course offerings in Spanish, French and Japanese. Our Japan day Festivities each year is a cultural experience that should not be missed.

The airbase community is supportive of the school. The parents and military members are active on the PTO, School Advisory Committee, and in a variety of organizations that lend their efforts to making this a better school. One particular area of note is the money they raise to offer scholarships to our graduating seniors.

Welcome to Yokota High School "Home of the Panthers." We have an outstanding tradition in academics, athletics, and the high school experience. Many of our students have traveled to various places around the world to include locales in Korea, Okinawa, Guam, Europe, and in the States. We have a diverse population of students who share the commonality of being military (or civilian) dependents.

Department of Defense Dependent Schools have consistency scored above the national average on most standardized tests. Our scores on the SAT and the ACT are also among the highest of schools in the States. We are very confident in the quality of education we deliver to our students.

We welcome you to Yokota Air Base, home of the Samurai. Our base is fairly large and there are many non-school activities for teens to become involved in on base, which compliment the extracurricular activities that we have at school. There are unique travel opportunities for families in Japan/the Pacific. The education that teens receive through travel is invaluable.

We welcome parents to stop by the office and visit our schools. We want parents to become more active in school. We could always use members to support our SAC (School Advisory Council) or our PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization). There is always work to be done in those organizations. If ever you encounter a problem or you need clarification on a policy or an answer to a question, please do not hesitate to call the office, and we will be happy to assist.
